War is Loonie Bring your extra $1s and $2s to the “War is Loonie” bin after mass May 28th and May 29th. The Knights of Columbus will be fundraising for victims and the most vulnerable alongside the Canadian Wheelchair Foundation to answer the papal call for a “broad-based response” to the evils of war
Our council will be supporting us through the Ontario State Knights of Columbus. Every $195 raised will provide one Wheelchair for those in need! With over $16 million donated and boots on the ground the Knight's are leading the fight against the evils of war
Holy Week It's important that all Knights RSVP to at least one activity during Holy Week! The activities we are helping with are:
Traffic Patrol: | Vests are in the office, pylons behind the garage, we need to prevent cross traffic from vehicles departing mass, jamming with pedestrians and other vehicles entering mass. Our duties save the church approx. $300 per hour. |
Ushering: | At any & every mass you attend be sure to check with the ushers if help is needed. Particularly 5pm and 8am, as extra duties during holy week need extra help! |
Adoration: | 5am Friday, bring your rosary and guests if you please, we will re-open the church with an hour of solemn prayer. |
Via Crucis: | Variety of assistance needed, removing cross from public veneration after the 3pm mass; Cross bearers for procession cross for each station; Station set up and presentation including furniture, décor, wear, or any tableaus. Details to be determined. PLEASE RSVP! |
Ukraine Solidarity The Knights of Columbus launched the Ukraine Solidarity Fund to support our brother Knights and their families, as well as their countrymen and women in Ukraine during this time of intense need. As of this writing, we have exceeded $2.5 million raised by Knights and other donors. Taking into account the Supreme Council’s initial $1 million commitment and $500,000 matching challenge, the Ukraine Solidarity Fund already stands at more than $4 million dollars.

Usher Knights
So restrictions and limitations required several different versions of "Usher Knights" supporting the parish ushers in maintaining restrictions, being door patrons, and being present at mass.
Envelope Mail-outs
2020 was a difficult year, with the mass moved to YouTube, one of the few non-virtual activities asked the Knights along with the ushers to organize and mail out all the envelopes to local homes. The donation envelopes along with a letter from the Pastor kept the community connected, at a distance!
YouTube Feast Mass
Our council played a role in all the virtual occasions within our parish community.

Christmas Lights!
The Pandemic limited most activities, but brought forward a new opportunity to learn a new activity! We tried our best, and in the end, our efforts turned out looking pretty good!
